MEET THE RAINMAKERS

Samppa Batal has directed four feature films — Bastard (2016), A Mother (2019), Timeman (2022), and Apple Thieves (2024)—each embodying his dedication to compelling storytelling. A Mother earned a Jussi Nomination for Best Leading Actress (Jaana Saarinen), while Timeman was honored with the Free Spirit Award at the Warsaw International Film Festival.
Apple Thieves made its World Premiere at the prestigious Helsinki International Film Festival - Love and Anarchy.

Tuomas Kohtamäki, an accomplished film editor and producer, has lent his talents to A Mother, Timeman,
and Apple Thieves, ensuring that each project reflects a rich, cohesive vision.

Roope Utriainen brings his extensive experience as an executive director for the culture center Sähinä
and played a pivotal role in several capacities for Timeman and Apple Thieves.

CINERAIN brings over a decade of filmmaking experience to the forefront of our vision.
