Samppa Batal has directed four feature films — Bastard (2016), A Mother (2019), Timeman (2022), and Apple Thieves (2024)—each embodying his dedication to compelling storytelling. A Mother earned a Jussi Nomination for Best Leading Actress (Jaana Saarinen), while Timeman was honored with the Free Spirit Award at the Warsaw International Film Festival.
Apple Thieves made its World Premiere at the prestigious Helsinki International Film Festival - Love and Anarchy.
